A very small collection of shots from the Gribdale Gallop (7.5 M, 1400' of ascent) in the North Yorkshire Moors, England. My first UK fell race for quite some time, given that I've been living over t' pond in sweaty North Carolina. It was good to be out dodging the black pudding and whippets once again. Mind you, I did manage to get lost for a couple of minutes and had a terrible time decending anything technical - I have grown SOFT on OKRA and other Southern Delicacies.
The race was also notable in that it was my brother's first ever race ... a gentle start for a part-time runner, eh...? Indeed, most of the photos are of the bro's first (and last?) fell assault.

North Yorkshire Moors AC. I managed a 56'40 and 20th place (out of 85) which was not great, but if I hadn't got lost things would have been much cheerier. My brother snagged 79th place in 1:17'11 which is a sterling effort for a true novice.
